Was looking at my planting guide and saw that it's about time to start planting onions in the bay area, however... I'm wondering whether I should go for the SFG, or just into soil? I planted some in my regular soil last year, and they seemed to grow pretty well, I guess having only one 4x4 I'm not sure if I want to use a square for that. Anyway, how many onions does one plant in a square?
