The gift of poo! Lol

I have the best neighbor. He just brought me a huge bag of turkey poo compost. He is an almond grower who rents out turkey barns and they give him poo that he makes great compost out of. He pays it forward. I pay him back in the summer with fresh bruschetta on homemade bread. Win win.

Lucky YOU!! I'm hoping to work some bartering for some of my compost ingredients if I can find people to barter with.
Someone else on the board that lives close to me has generously offered me quite a bit of what I need for a nice batch of Mel's Mix, including 5 way compost (home made) and vermiculite!! WOW!

Bartering is great. I bake and have a small home business selling biscotti. I'm always amazed at what you can trade for baked goods. Lol. If you have any local farmers you should talk to them. Many are pro home farming and very supportive and helpful.
