HI! New to SFG,, but not to foruming

Hey guys! I'm glad to have found this forum, and I hope to become active, does anyone have a list of some good topics on here that I should read to help me get to know the forum, the members, and most importantly Square Foot Gardening?

+1 and please read the ANSFG book as well it will get you off to a great start and save a lot of time, trouble, and back strain. So glad you found us and welcome to the forum.

Hi JRA, and !



The way I like to use this forum is twofold: First, I bookmark my specific region. That way whenever I open up the forum, I see if anything new is happening in my part of the country (like, are people starting seeds now, planting potatoes yet, etc.). Then I use the "Latest Topics" list on the left to keep active with what people are talking about. That's how I've mostly gotten to know people, because the most frequent posters will add their two cents to the latest topics.

I also like to send (and recieve!) PM's to folks when I see they've mentioned something that I'm particularly interested in but I don't want to take a thread off topic.

If you click on "Website" in the green menu bar above, it'll take you to the .org site. Mel wants everyone to grow their own food, and he's made it his mission to teach people how. They've recently re-done the main website to include a "Gardening with SFG" link that has information on the basics to get you started.

Glad you found us! Let us know what you're doing with your garden, post pictures, and ask anything you want. Lots of friendly folks around here.
