Seed mat tray go boom

Post  CindiLou on 3/8/2012, 10:13 am

This is what happens when a shelf above dumps cookbooks onto the grow lights...

At least the little seedlings were not dumped!

What comes up from the mess will be easy to identify!
Peppers:
Wonder bell or sweet banana or jalapeno
Tomatoes.....mariglobe
Parsley:
Italian or curly or dwarf curly
Lettuce -- only one kind planted

curious cindylou
What are your seedlings planted in?
Are those peat pucks?.. WIth the tops cut off?

Or perhaps peat pucks are different in other areas?

Hope you can fix the shelf .... Sad

and that is clean language compared to what I said!

I plant in peat plugs. I bought the mat setup with jiffy pellets but the lining on those DOES NOT compost! I have found the things years later when repotting! So I bought peat pellets to replace them...

Oh My!

I am afraid I would have have several choice expletives flowing from my mouth.

Were your lights damaged?

At least you will be able to tell the seedlings apart once the have their true leaves.

Sorry for your mess.

Lights are fine..the books hit it and slide it into the tray. Yup, and it didnt hurt my seedling babies that were already under the light!
