Hello

Post  Tamara Calero on 3/21/2012, 4:46 pm

Hi my name is Tamara and I live in Palm Bay, Florida. My husband and I tried to grow some things in our garden last year and were not too successful. This year I was looking on line and found garden girl and Mel was on her show. We got his book from our local library and we have started planting in our third square foot garden box and have two more ready to fill with our mix. So far so good everything seems to be taking off I wish we had known about this method before planting Lettuce and broccoli in the first box. I am going to transplant some of the broccoli in hopes that it will do better. I think I crowded them Shocked. I look forward to sharing our garden with you.

Welcome
Don't worry about your first box. Do what you can but keep going forward with the ANSFG. You will be thankfull when you get your great harvest! You can compare the first box to the other boxes and see what works. You will be amazed!

Tamara I live north of you in St.Augustine Fl. It is almost too hot here for broccoli so I an a bit worried for yours you may want to wait for fall. That's what the folks up here do.Wink

Hi everyone,

Thanks for the welcome! I am concerned for my broccoli too! but the Brussel sprouts seem to be thriving....Its hard here in Florida because it gets so hot so quickly! My garden is looking good even though I went away for three days and left my 19 year old daughter to water....some of my seedlings did not fair too well Sad going to attach photos of the garden soon! What a Face
