If my bathtub was big enough, I'd be in there now. What a Face

Somedays I feel older than my age and others younger..I feel the oldest in dealing with technology as I classify myself as "old school".

True GG, thanks that's a setting the user can control themselves. I just don't want folks to think they are obligated to state their age when they do the poll. The key is participation Wink

I see you're 58 floyd Cool

Just turned 35 this year but my eldest boy turns 7 in April and he LOVES helping me with the garden and watching it grow.

Even got him to eat salad leaves for the first time! What a difference it makes to attitude when you've grown it yourself!

Re: How Old Are Our Gardeners?

Post  Gilly21 on 3/29/2012, 12:18 pm

I am 33. My biggest helper is 3, 4 come April 29th, and my wife, who helped establish the garden, is a couple years younger then I. Mother in law is helping around a bit too. She is 73. Mainly my project but I am trying to keep the family involved. My son cant wait for me to get home every day so we can look at how the plants have grown over the day. Maybe I can get him to eat something other then hotdogs and Chicken Fingers for dinner.

Hi Pink-Gardener!

Welcome to the forum! Please feel free to post in the introductory area and of course check out your regional forum. I think Plantoid would be your regional host and he is HILARIOUS! Smile

Have you read the All New Square Foot Gardening book yet (2006)? If not, I'd highly recommend that you try to get hold of a copy and give it a quick read as it will help you get started especially with the Mel's Mix components which are essential to this type of gardening....

Higgledly piggledy is just fine with SFG - it's definitely the way to use small spaces and repurpose materials so it sounds perfect!

We'd love to see pictures as you progress! Happy to have you here!
