Frost tonight

Post  lisaphoto on 3/26/2012, 6:55 pm

We are expected to get frost tonight, with a low of 30 degrees. All I have outside are blueberries, unplanted peach trees that are flowering, lettuces, rhubarb, arugula, broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, and kale. Do I need to protect any of these? I know most are frost tolerant, but I wasn't sure with the sudden drop in temp.

There is also a freeze warning, I don't know if that is the same as a frost warning.

I have had my Kale out for the past 2 week, however we have had temps down to 20 farenheit.
They are still alive, but not looking great, you might want to put a bucket over them.
I am just right now planting more Kale seeds Smile Sad

I would throw a few sheets over the top of your plants. Both of you will have a better night. Hope the weathermen are wrong.

I brought some things in to the garage, but didn't get a chance to cover the outdoor crops. Luckily, it didn't frost at all.
