Newbie garden plan

Post  LtTawnyMadison on 3/31/2012, 4:59 pm

Hi all! I posted here last year with a garden plan. I didn't get my act together in time to start it last year, but I am GOING to start it this year! I wanted to post my plan again and get input on it. I'm in Southern NH, Zone 5. The dates on the chart are planting dates (I'm doing all transplants since this is my 1st garden) through harvest dates. So "Jun-Aug" means I'd plant them in June and finish harvesting in August. I based the date information on this chart: http://www.veggieharvest.com/Vegetable-Planting-Calendar/Zone-5-Vegetable-Planting-Calendar I'd like to find out more about staggering the lettuce and carrot plantings (thus all the different dates for those). And most of all I'd like input on any and all aspects of the garden plan. We're sharing the harvest with our next door neighbors who will be helping us pay for the soil and plants.

Thank you!!

I am not sure about the spinach being between the corn. Will it get enough sun ? Is that enough corn to get good pollination and cob set ?

To clarify

Sorry, I should have clarified that I'd be planting the lettuces first, then the corn later -- the dates underneath give the dates I'd be planting each. They won't be in the same square at the same time.
