They're 10 ft long 4 ft wide. At the top of the slope, they're 12 inches high. At the bottom, they're 20 inches high.

80 tomato plants. I wish.

Actually I'm putting in 8 tomato plants per bed. They'll be set up towards the back half of the box in two rows of 4 each.
In addition to the tomatoes, I'm having 16 squares per bed where I'll plant other things. Something like this picture. Those big orange dots represent the tomato plants.

Yep. I'm allowing 3 sq ft per plant. Plenty of airflow around them and it'll give me some extra room if I'm negligent in pruning.

TTT

They look very nice now that you stained them. Odd as mine are on a slope as well but we both live in Pa so there is not much level ground to be had.

I hand dug mine down to get them level but I like your approach..get some warm weather and ready to fill up!!!

I'm really happy with the way they look. They looked good before I stained them but now I think they're even better.

Both of those boxes took about 3/4ths of a gallon of stain

Perhaps I missed this but I don't knwo the dimensions of your boxes? I have 2 four by 8 foot SFGs so what is the dimentions of yours?

I put the second compost bin beside the other and had plenty of galvanized mesh left and only needed 2 U posts

TTT, those 4 X 10's look great.

I really like that you used 2 in thick hemlock, that will last a long, long time. The stain really finishes them off and it looks great.

Enjoy your tomatoes!

Thanks Furbalsmom! I'm happy!

Floyd.....I'm growing 16 different varieties of tomatoes. I'll have 2 rows of 4 plants per box and I'll have enough room for 16 squares of other things(that's 16 per box)
