Greetings from Unionville, CT

Post  suburbansherpa on 4/8/2012, 10:54 am

I'm glad to be a part of this forum. I need the support of my fellow gluttons for punishment. Over the past few years, my garden has been hit hard by deer, mice, children and other vermin, late blight, early blight, mid-season blight, quarter-past-three-in-the-afternooon blight, hail, falling trees, neglect, overwork, too much shade, too much sun, blossom end rot, absence of micro-nutrients, slugs and snails....and of course puppy dog tails. Regardless, I carry on, for there is nothing in this world like the flavor of vegetables plucked fresh from the garden.

Hi and welcome to the Forum.

You're absolutely right! We ARE gluttons for punishment.

Welcome to the forum. I'm starting my 4th year and loving it. You just can't beat the flavor of homegrown fresh-food-from-the-garden-this-morning.

glad you\'re here from New Britain, CT!
I haven't been on here much recently, so imagine my reaction, seeing your post tonight. Shocked We're just about neighbors!
People are great on here; you can learn a lot (maybe even about quarter-past-three-in-the-afternooon blight--but don't hold me to it!) Wink
