Newbie SFG pics

Post  landarch on 4/10/2012, 2:41 pm

Here are a few of my pics. I have a total of 6 boxes...four new 4x4 boxes with Mels Mix and two previous 4x8 boxes with the front halves converted to SFG. It's a bit early for tomatoes and peppers here in KC so I only planted a few. Leaf crops are not germinating/ growing as well as my non-SFG garden last year, and cauliflower and chard (purchased as bedding plants) are not doing much at all. Empty squares will get peppers, bush green beans, and compantion flowers/herbs.

The trellises (four) will go up soon (cattle panel with steel t-posts). Tomatoes and cucumbers will go in the north squares.

Comments are welcome...

Box 1 (beets, lettuce, cauliflower, basil, carrots, onions, parsley)

Box 2 (beets, lettuce, onions, chives, peppers, radish, onions, carrots, basil)

Box 3 (beets, lettuce, basil, carrots, onions)

Box 4 (onions, beets, spinach, sugar snap peas, basil, lettuce, carrots

Box 5 (onions, sugar snap peas, lettuce, beets, carrots, tomatoes, oregano, cilantro)

Box 6 (onions, beets, carrots, parsley, sugar snap peas, tomatoes, basil, lettuce)
