Dead Worms

Dead Worms

Hey everyone,

I ordered some worms via amazon and they all just arrived dead not me . Amazon did refund me my money w/ no questions asked really. no need for a pic or anything.

My real question is what do I do with them now? Can I throw them in my regular compost or is that a no no?

That's a shame. Yes you can put them in the compost heap. Worms are about 75% water. They will break down rapidly and add a little nitrogen as I recall.

I ended up ordering from Uncle Jim's Worm Farm in PA because I didn't know about findworms.com Turns out I could have purchased from a place about 10 miles from home instead of hundreds of miles away.

bbzoe! Sorry the worms died. Hope you can find some worms closer to home.

@ llama momma: Thanks for sharing the link. I'd been thinking I needed to look up where to get some. There's a supplier near the winery we like to visit outside Orlando...a 3 hour drive, but worth it to pick up a case or 2 of wine and a herd of worms to start a worm bin. Boys love stuff like that!

I know how you feel my lady bugs from gardens alive were DOA but waiting for reshipment as we speak.
