Just complaining

Post  tamara on 4/6/2010, 10:57 pm

I am so ready to plant my garden!!!! Seams like every day I wake up and there is snow on the ground. Most years I have peas starting to poke through by now- this year nothing yet. I guess i'm just impatatent because this is my first getting to try SFG and I am ready to try it!

I feel your pain! It has snowed like crazy the last three days! School was CANCELED this morning! And it was all melted by noon. I am so anxious to get my garden in, I have a pile of bags under a tarp in the front yard waiting to be mixed with the vermiculite in my garage. I have all my boxes built but can't plant until I get my dirt in but can't cause there is snow... At least I know that when I do get to plant my seeds will have plenty of water.

This was what I got to drive through on Monday April 5. It snowed all night and yesterday morning we had 4 inches. Now its all but gone. Today it is so cold and windy there is no way I am opening my vermiculite. lol Just showing my support. I am sure the weather will cooperate soon and I can plant. Hope things are going better in your neck of the woods.

I know how you feel, the dang snow won't stop. I planted some spinach a while ago (I bought it as plants) and now I'm just fighting to keep it alive.

I don't know how you people do it. I realized long ago that I could never live anywhere where the snowfall is measured in feet. Very Happy
Guess I'll walk outside to check my fully planted SFG and count my blessings. Razz

Oh sure rub it in, I know how you are. Wink

Personally I love the snow, but I am ready for summer. I keep checking the calendar to see if I can plant this or that yet.
