Can we post pictures from iPhone/iPad to forum?

Post  Nonna.PapaVino on 4/19/2012, 3:47 pm

With the thread on growing mushrooms in the garden, I ran out and snapped pictures of the morels growing in the garlic bed with my iPhone. Once inside, realized I may have made a mistake, unless pictures can be sent from the iPhone to a forum topic. Anyone?

Can we post pictures from iPhone/iPad to forum

Post  Pepper on 4/19/2012, 3:57 pm

If you are on your phone/pad right now I do not see why not.

I put Itunes on my windows pc now I can get the pics off my phone relatively hassle free from there I can post to here.

Even though I turned off location services for the camera I still am afraid the pics are 'geo tagged' so do not use them.

So, turning off the location service doesn't really go away? Nasty. Evil or Very Mad

I've done this with my iPhone; upload photos by using the "Host an Image" button...you just have to switch from the mobile site to the full website, then you use the same button you would if uploading from your computer. It's not as fast, and you really have to zoom in to get the correct button, but it works just fine. I highly recommend that if you make a habit of this you make sure you're logged into wifi somewhere first. Save your data plan for other things. Wink

Photobucket is fast and easy. You can set it to upload all new photos. Once you upload media you can access from your device or computer.

I asked this question not long ago and Rooster helpfully pointed out that there is a photobucket app for iPad (I assume it's also iPhone) that will upload your pics to Photobucket very easily and then you just copy the IMG tag into your post and voila!

I have the Photobucket app on my iPhone...and a Flikr app, also...recently downloaded. It's not necessary to use Safari until I get done uploading the photos...but many times I forget I have the app and end up doing like I said earlier and use the method I would if I am on my computer.

Thank you, thank you, all. Until I convert entirely to Apple products, Photobucket looks like the solution. Nonna

Nonna I did not intend to imply the "geo tracking" IS on when you tell it not to be: but simply that I do not know.

After I installed Itunes on my windows puter I can now copy my pictures directly from my phone to my hard drive then post them from there.

Somewhere on your photobucket account you can find out the address of how to picture message photos from your phone to your mobile photobucket account. It makes it quick and painless! bounce
