Spring Fever In NE Texas

Well, Howdy all.
I had previously been registered but lost something in the conversion to the new website.
I have just recently finished (9) 4'x12' boxes and already had (6) 4'x4' boxes from last month. My wife and I managed to get all tomato's peppers, cucumber, okra and purple hulls in the boxes over easter weekend. I use the standard Mel's Mix with chicken litter composted over a year with mulched leaves for the composte portion. We had the potatoes and strawberries in the small boxes last month as well as onions and they are all looking great. I do believe I am gonna love the SFG way!! I really enjoy browsing the SFG site it is a wealth of knowledge.
Next weekend I will be building at least two maybe 4 2' x 12' boxes for canteloupes and small melons. No plans for sweet corn since I have never been able to grow it conventionally and for spite dont think I will start now. HAHA

Howdy: That sounds like you have quite the garden growing there. Spring is doing its ups and downs here in Virginia. High today was 91 with the high forecast for Friday 63 a 24 degree difference in in the highs! I did not want to listen to the lows! I hope you will post often and send pictures as we love to see what others are doing. BTW there is currently a photo contest going with prizes for the best, 2nd and 3rd. Check it out and see if you would like to enter.

Sounds like you have a SERIOUS SFG! Makes the rest of us seem like slackers. Very Happy Please post some pics of your Texas-sized SFG so the rest of us can have something to dream about.
