How many field pea plants per square foot?

Post  Timbohelm on 4/26/2012, 11:14 am

Hi. I'm trying to grow purple hull peas, and I have limited space, and as an experiment I'm going from traditional to square foot on this one thing, to see how it works out, but I don't know how many to plant per square foot. Can you guys help me out?

Peas planting with SFG is 8 per square. Good luck with your experiment!

Thanks a lot for that. It turned into a sort of square foot arrangelment, but I put a sort of a row down the middle, a shallow ditch, really, to hold whatever water might eventually fall. We seem awful dry for April.
