Hummingbirds Yet?

Have any of you Gulf Coasters-to-Lower South-ers gotten hummers back? We usually have had a few scout males by this time but haven't seen them this year... Wondering how far north they've made it so far, and if the unusually colder, wetter winter delayed migration.

I'm in Massachusetts and the garden center I visited yesterday had signs up saying that they would be back soon. The fact that the sign was near all kinds of hummingbird stuff had nothing to do with it, I am sure!

I hung my feeder on Friday, but haven't seen any yet. What kind of feeders do you have? Mine is the kind with a stopper and I've found that it is more of a barometer - it leaks & drips with the humidity. I'll be getting a new one this year (I hope) and began researching them yesterday. Saw a bunch at the garden center last night, but did not get one. I can't wait to see the hummingbirds this year!

Down south of I-10 we got full on hummingbirds. Parents got 10 feeders already going for them
I am hoping to put some up soon, but got a lot of other birds near me right now. I wake up every morning to doves singing, it is very relaxing

My friend saw some last week (she's about 40 miles south of the DFW metroplex). I haven't seen any just yet, but expect to any day (I've been working a lot and may have missed the first ones). I don't have feeders, just plant attractors, but my neighbors have a feeder and usually see them first thing. No reports on sightings at the neighbor's.

My coral honeysuckle is loaded with flowers, so they say it's time.

Saw one last week in Middle Peninsula, VA

Saw a hummer by my car (!) last week. Ran and got my feeders and haven't seen one since! Azaleas are just blooming now so there will be food for them anyhow.

So they are on their way, slowly but surely. I had a fat scout male ruby throat yesterday drop by for a few minutes before heading further on.

Ruby throat is here

Saw a HB sitting on one of the feeders I put out last week. The azaleas are in full bloom here in eastern VA now
