Please Help Identify leaves

Post  hruten on 5/9/2012, 7:15 am

I had my seeds nicely arranged in rows in my vermiculite and labeled the rows. My 2yr old "helper" thought he would plant too. He jumbled the sprouts!!

Can anyone please tell me which is calbacin (greyzini)zucchini and which is cucurbito pepo pie pumpkin? One has a pointed leaf tip and the other is rounded. I have a very specific planting plan since I use mostly containers. Below are photographs of the leaves. Any help would be appreciated.

Phew! It was hard, but I finally found a picture for you. Check out this link and hover over the little boxes because they tell you what each plant is. The one on the left is the zucchini you want to identify.

I think that means your pointed leaf plant is the zucchini Smile

My zucchini plants all have pointy leaves.

While in the garden, I realized that my cantalope is a pumpkin! Must have mixed up the seeds!

Thank you!!

Thanks for all the help!! I had them marked correctly, but just did not feel comfortable without 2nd opinions. The day of transplanting was a crack-up. I had to pull a seed from each packet and then compare to the seeds still on the sprouts. Unfortunately, the pumpkin and zucchini seeds looked identical!!

Happy Growing and Thanks again!
