Thanks camprn for your support on basil. I have 16 more that should germinate by this weekend so I might either put those is boxes of in case some of mine don't make it.

Got another question a little of the mark. I have pole beans and there are grey bugs eating both the leaves and stems. They are about 1/2 inch long and grey. All my other plants seem fine so have you had this problem?

I searched the web and they talk about a soap or DE???? I just replanted some and would like to be prepared for the creatures.

Thanks

Hey camprn..

I read some of the suggestions on the mealy bugs..and they are bad and hard to get rid of. Mixed some soap and water and put it all through my two gardens.

Only saw them in on garden the other day but now they are both and I think I may loose everything.

One suggestion was rubbing alchohol and try to get them with Q tips but will go with soap first. They say they come from greenhouses but I didn't buy any plants so have no idea were they came from.

Will go to Agway on Tuesday as that is the next day I have off...hope the plants make it...

I think they are Pill bugs and not Mealy bugs. Last fall I purchased various composts and they like compost and my wife to some to Tractor Supply but they were not 100% sure but there was a man at Lowes who looked at them and said they were.

So I got DE and put in on my garden this evenning. It is 100% organic and should kill them in 24 hours..ideally....
