Yellow carrot leaves

Post  kbb964 on 5/20/2012, 7:46 pm

A couple of my carrots have leaves that turned yellow. One went real brittle flaked when i touched it . This happened just today.

Yesterday I side dressed with organic fertilizer.
It has been way hot and sunny the last few days.

I am really hoping that this isnt some sort of blight ?

Maybe i overwatered, Over fertilized or they got sunburned?

My guess is fertilizer burn.

I am hoping so !
I pulled off the offending leaf and keeping a watchful eye.

its so hard to side dress the plants when the squares are chock full! im guessing i didnt properly water it in.

Try compost tea instead. Waters and feeds. And keep us up to date on the carrots.
