holes in lettuce

Post  dsmdeb on 5/29/2012, 10:16 am

I just noticed this holey lettuce this morning.

I sprinkled some crushed egg shell around it after reading about that here, thinking it might be slugs.

Any other suggestions?

I don't see anything on the underside. This plant is only about 2" tall.

I finally found the culprit, sitting on the main vein of a leaf. It's only about 1/4 inch long. Thank you, o powerful reading glasses. What a Face
Do you know what this is, and what I can do to keep them away? (This particular guy is a goner. Laughing )

I found a bunch of tiny yellow things that I assume are eggs on the underside of some leaves. They were also on collard and kale leaves in an adjacent bed. I used some Scotch tape to remove them.
