New from Kentucky

Post  kstephens on 6/1/2012, 9:39 pm

This is my first season with a SFG. I am totally new to gardening - we always had a rather large row garden while I was growing up, and I usually put a mix of plants spaced out in the yard and in pots. I had surgery in april, and while recovering I picked up the book while at lowes and read it a couple of times, and put together a couple 4x4 boxes, and finally tracked down all of the soil components. They are coming up nicely, and I have a good collection of plants growing. I am totally hooked, and plan to add a couple more boxes next spring (I still have a huge bag of vermiculite to put to use). I also just started a compost a bin (a birthday gift).

I just wanted to say hello, and I look forward to taking in all of the knowledge I can from you all.

So glad you could join use. Be VERY careful. Squarefoot Gardening is addictive. I'm glad you have read the book. It plus this forum will answer most questions that come up. Would love to see pictures of your garden.
