Success in Shade

Post  CharlesB on 6/3/2012, 8:23 am

I garden at a Community Garden as well as in my own yard. At the Community Garden one of my plots is about half in the shade. My question is what plants you all have had success with in shady areas?

I will be watching this topic with interest, as I have one flower/weed bed along the north side of my house which I would like to make productive and attractive. It is approx. 2x40. Blueberries a possibility? Gets sun, but not for many hours a day.

Just found this - I think I may go for some berries as I am looking for low maintenance for an extra 80 sq ft of garden!
