Sure Jell & Ball RealFruit Classic Pectins?

Post  JustMe on Mon Jun 04, 2012 6:21 pm

Are Sure Jell Premium Fruit Pectin (for regular sugar recipes) and Ball RealFruit Classic Pectin interchangeable in recipes?

I would think so, as long as you use either the powder or the liquid... which ever the recipe call for.

We have two grocery stores in the same chain. I went to the "other" one b/c our regular one didn't have any Sure Jell. The "other" location had TONS of canning stuff - the Ball starter kit, jars, lids, the pre-made pickle and salsa packets, etc.

The Ball brand pectin had an equivalent chart on their package.

Now that I've cruised around different hardware and grocery stores, I have a better idea of which store carries what.
