Soybeans- pole, bush or other?

Post  teapot on 4/11/2010, 3:00 am

I am trying to lay out our garden boxes, and i don't know what category to put our soybean plants in... are they pole beans, bush beans, or some other type of bean? If someone has grown soya, please let me know what to expect!

Thank you for your help!

No personal experience, but from what I read they are primary short pole beans and need support: http://www.essortment.com/hobbies/tipsgrowingsoy_sphs.htm

But there is a bush variety:

I guess the best thing is to assume they are pole unless the package specifically says dwarf or bush.
