The inground self wicking bed that went crazy.

Post  walshevak on 6/25/2012, 11:52 am

I wasn't around to help direct these plants plus they exploded in a 2 week period.

Layout. on back trellis 1 cuke, 1 butternut squash, 1 zuke and 1 cataloupe. On the front trellis 1 acorn squash, 2 tomatos, and a bitter melon. In the 2 edge squares between the acorn squash and the cuke, another acorn squash. On the other side the 2 middle edge squares has 1 watermelon.

We spend a few hours yesterday trying to trellis and redirect some of the plants. The poor tomatos are overpowered.

Wow, they exploded! Are you using a rope or cloth wick, or is it MM? Looks like you've found a good setup.

Here is the story of the pond beds. The exploded bed is the newest put in this spring.
