Hi folks!! My seeds are just starting to sprout and it's very exciting!! I do have a question about watering. Currently, with temps reaching 105 and 108, I've been watering early in the morning and little bit at sunset. I know we can't "over-water" with the mel's mix, but how much is really necessary? Our humidity is also pretty much nothing. Just so so dry. The beds get a solid 6 hours of hot sun (we also haven't had a cloud in the sky for a solid week). Am I being a panicky garden mom or should they really be getting daily drinks? Thanks!!

When I'm direct seeding, and when my plants are very small, I water three times a day, even in my cool climate. The top of the MM does dry out quickly, and the plants don't have the root systems to go looking for water yet. It also prevents the lower MM from drying out to much, when it then becomes difficult to re-saturate. Given your weather, you're not over watering.

Part of learning SFG, is learning how to water MM. I would suggest finding a spot where you can reach to the bottom of the box to see how effective your watering is.
