First time SFG gardener in Queen Creek.

Post  sw999400 on 7/1/2012, 1:53 pm

I started my first ever garden which happens to be a 4x4 raised bed with Mel's Mix. I have bell peppers, cucumbers, eggplant, watermelon, flying saucer squash, basil, crenshaw melon, small and big pumpkins, beefsteak tomato, roma tomato, and tomatillos growing in it. I am getting ready to transplant some sweet potatos and planting some spinach soon. I can use any suggestions or reccomendations you may have.

Some questions:

What plants need to be taken out after their harvest and which will keep growing? (see above for the plants I have)

Any pointers for growing in AZ?

Thanks in Advance!!!Very Happy

I love these two calendars:

Some good threads are in the Souithwest Deserts. Shadecloth for the summer is my big recommendation!
