square foot plants that need there own beds.

the following list of crop should have there own bed or beds due to there particular characteristics even in the square foot system or without.

perennial crops and herbs:horseradish,asparagus,artichokes,Jerusalem Artichokes
Garlic chives,Egyptian walking onion,rosemary,Rhubarb,Sorrel

spreading crops: sweet potatoes,horseradish

deep roots crop: large potatoes,sweet potatoes, long carrots, daikon radish

to grow the deep roots crops it is best to grow them in doubles or triple deep square foot beds by the method mel suggest in his book
