Fall garden is in

Post  landarch on 9/6/2012, 10:12 pm

Well, after 6.5 inches of slow steady rain in Kansas City last weekend the fall garden is looking really good...hopefully I can post some pics tomorrow.

Seeded:
Beets - 27 squares
Carrots - 47 squares
Romaine Lettuce - 12 squares
Swiss Chard - 2 squares
Spinach - 6 sqares
Radishes (will plant soon)

Bedding Plants:
Brussel Sprouts - 4 squares
Cauliflower - 12 squares
Broccoli - 12 squares
Kale - 4 squares

Still going strong from the summer garden are mucho nacho jalepenos, biggie chili peppers, and the trellis tomatoes...just pruned the tomato vines to force nutrients to developing fruit to hopefully ripen before first frost (10/11).

I have not had much luck with cauliflower and broccoli in the past (cabbage worms)...and they're already at it again...I squish worms off daily.
