New England weather alert!

Post  martha on 4/14/2010, 2:09 pm

Middlesex County, Massachusetts is expecting .79" of rain this week-end, and possible/probable frost this week-end. (I am hearing specifically Saturday, but I have a hard time specifically trusting these weather folks!)

What is crazy is Worcester County is reflecting 1-2 degrees higher temps at night than Middlesex -

at any rate, one might want to watch out for one's little ones that are living outside.

I sent my daughter outside last night to do a rain dance! We're supposed to get some tomorrow, but I heard that it is supposed to move through quickly. My rain barrel is getting rather low, I really hope we get enough to fill it back up! I can't believe that after record snow falls in February that we're already this dry!

I have my new blueberries bundled up. I also put row covers on things that might not need it, like peas and radishes. I might be a little guilty of "I'm cold, so you must be cold!"

However, I did leave last year's blueberry bushes to fend for themselves. Since tonight is supposed to be the coldest one so far, I'm off to check to make sure the older bushes will be okay!
