Topic removed?

Post  littlejo on 9/18/2012, 10:27 am

Administrators, etc.

I really don't like being the only person that sees that things have changed, or that items have been locked, removed, etc. Maybe there should be a thread where a person, me, could write to the administrators, without it being seen by all the forum? I have a short memory, and cannot remember who is admin. so sending a pm is difficult.

When a person, me, is following a thread, an email is sent , to notify when a thread is written to. When you lock or remove a thread, you should also stop those emails from going out. Smile

(any idea what's wrong)
I know you'all know which thread it is, and I did not think it was a bad thread, just something that needed discussing, maybe this means help is on the way.

Hi littlejo! I have no idea about what happened to your thread but in the future if you go to the home page and scroll down past the topics and regions their is a list of people that have been on the forum recently. Admins, SFG teachers, moderators and regional hosts all have their names in different colors. This might help with your PMing in the future! I hope you get this all worked out!

Not sure if we are talking about the same thread but the one I responded to yesterday seems to be gone. I was looking to see if there were any responses to my comments.

What thread was it Jo?

Also, in case you didn't know, if there is no action or posts in a thread you are watching, there will be no notifications sent to you.

Thus, if it is locked or removed for some reason, there is no action taken in the thread you should will not be getting email about it.

I think it was the same thread. I cannot remember exactly what kind of problems you are having, but hope they get corrected.
I am planning to plant trap crops for the bugs, next to my SFG, so maybe the bugs will eat those plants. I have not been able to buy the fungicide that is reccomended for the blight I had. Only commercial entities can purchase. I may have to become a commercial farmer! I don't think 20' x 30' qualifies!

camprn, Thread: "any idea what's wrong"

I was sent the notification, but when I clicked in the email to go to the thread, I got a message that I did not have permission to be there, oh well.

You know, it makes the mole hill into a mountain when this happens.

Jo, between the time the notification was sent to you and you clicked on the link in the notification, for some reason the thread was sequestered, it may have been the result of a complaint. I was not the person who removed it so I do not know the reason.
I am sorry you are disappointed but please do not take it personally; please know that the Administrator and Moderators will not notify everyone on the forum of all the duties they attend to each day.

I removed the thread and there was reason for doing so. Again littlejo, dont take it personally. I don't have the time to notify each member when something is removed, edited, or moved to a different location. And just like camp pointed out in the TOS, I'm under no obligation to do so.

You know, it makes the mole hill into a mountain when this happens

Well, sorry you feel that way.
