Poppin' into say Hi!

Post  AgriBet on 10/1/2012, 2:12 pm

I've never posted to a forum so this is new. Two new exciting things today- signing up for the on-line certification course and posting on a forum. Isn't life full of new experiences and opportunities. Can't wait to take my knowledge from the OCC course and make a difference in the lives of welfare mothers and their children to be better feed, self reliant and improve their self-esteem. I also am going to suggest local churches pay it forward by encouraging them to take this on as a ministry with their congregrations.

I'm also in NE NC. Let me know if you are close and maybe we can work together.

Midwest Dirt

Post  Gardenfrog on 10/9/2012, 11:25 am

Just wanted to say "HI!" to everyone here. I'm enjoying the new class and new "dirt buddies" there!

I enjoy experimenting with non-traditional crops... Veggies and flowers that come from other countries and items, like tropical fruits, that are virtually unknown in our Midwest soils. So far I've found success in several tropical varieties, and I hope to grow to fruition Papayas and Bananas this Spring and Summer. (Wish me luck!).
