New from Colorado

Post  Rivmage on 1/8/2013, 9:41 am

Hi all,

I moved into a house last year and tried to garden. It was nearly a complete failure. I got three undersized tomatoes and peppers. This year I plan to plan my garden out a bit more. I have a few gardening books in the mail including SFG. We are planning two 4x4 beds with a drip irrigation system.

Rivmage if your just reading the ANSFG book, I would suggest that you follow the soil chapter to the letter. Mel has done the homework for you and it works. If your buying compost in a bag, check to see how much peat moss may be in mix. Make sure if you can, to get straight compost and then blend it with other compost. Best wishes.

Welcome to the group. I am somewhat new here as well, but I believe this is probably about the easiest gardening method out there that works.
