Hi,

Are there any other gardener's doing planning that live in the Pacific NW? I am new to this forum as of today and doing garden planning for our cooperative garden near Portland, Oregon. We have over 25 beds. We started with a grant and now are on our own in terms of figuring out how to create a low cost green house and keeping the deer, dogs, and cats out. We are a pesticide free garden. flower flower

Hi nwblondie and welcome to the forum. While I can't think specifically of anyone in our PNW region that is gardening on such a large scale, we all plan out our gardens more or less (hey let's be honest: some of us wing it as we go along and/or are easily swayed by seductive seed displays). And of course deer, dogs, and cats aren't problems limited to the PNW. I bet you'll find lots of useful information on here by using the search feature located in the upper left corner. Plenty of topics to be found on pest control, greenhouse and hoophouse building, and garden layout/planning.

Sounds like you've got a great project ahead of you! Lots of friendly folks here willing to pipe in too if you've got a specific question. Poke around and let us know how we can help!

the Google search GWEN suggest above on the left is for SFG and Google

the search option on the very bottom of the left hand side of the page you can choose if you only want to search in our SFG forum or include Google in your searchs...you can also click on posts and/or threads.....its really easy to use and you can find lots of info ......

have fun and happy gardening....and we love pictures!
