This is such a fun theme! I find it interesting how seeing people you've only "read" can sometimes affirm or negate impressions you never even realized you had. Oh, and has anyone else been surprised at someones gender now that they've seen a pic (no need to name names)? You can't always tell by usernames!

I agree with you on the gender thing. Twice I said the wrong gender and boy was I embarrassed! If you look by their names their is a little arrow showing gender and now they are either pink or blue.

So with your little "destroyer" if you get table tops, will he then think that climbing those will be a challenge, lol! He sure is a cutie though!

OH yes, I just had it in my mind that too tall tomatoes was a female and then posted that he was the compost queen..... causing quite a stir. that is when I found the male female indicator...

Not everyone chooses to disclose their gender when they fill out their profile though. Notice my own doesn't have that indicator.

Tricia, yes - climbing table tops would be a fun challenge! Indoors he finds all kinds of things he can push or carry around to use as a stool to reach something - hopefully outdoors he wouldn't be able to do that. He enjoyed stomping through my garden so much last year because he was a beginning walker back then and he could grab onto the trellis and walk the length of it, holding on for support. The grid gave him additional motivation - he liked to stand in each of the squares!

Gwennifer, you're right, some don't mention their gender! Your little guy sounds like a typical little guy, they sure keep you on your toes! They sure are fun!

GWN, I mentioned Rooster as a woman once and Chopper as a man. Boy, embarrassing! Good thing these wonderful people don't hold a grudge, lol!

That particular fish was landed about 150 yards out in the ocean from the actual beach. There was a sand bar we were wading to at low tide through a chest deep slough to reach. Definitely not caught bare handed but worked our butts off to get to them. We had the best fishing season anyone on the outerbanks can ever remember.

Wonderful catch Gilly!

Here is who is behind the garden gnome!
It's snowing here, not yet a good time to make improvement to the garden I guess.
No, this is not ALL my garden but I wanted to show you the place where we have the community garden. Inhabitants of the area made an agreement with the owner and the town to install this planting area on what was before a sterile lawn with a no-ball-games sign.
It's a win-win-win contract and everyone is happy. Inhabitants because they can cultivate a piece of soil, owner because he doesn't have to pay to have the lawn mowed anymore, and the town authorities because they understand the benefits of this kind of projects. This place is a wonderful social meeting point where people exchange advice, seeds and good recipes.
In the other photo, my neighbor friend who is largely responsible for my experience in becoming an sfg adept.

February is traditionally our coldest period of the year , the first 14 days usually give a bit of snow .
So we have to eat up our dinners and take in extra meat rations to keep warm ..... especially if the meat comes out the ANSFG's .  Laughing

Ok...I'll go first.  This is hard. I don't really have any good photos this year so it will have to be a selfie.

Oh dear...I've mortified my son...no gaping or duck facing, he says. Well, since I don't even know what that means I guess I'll have to take yet another one...

I called for my husband to come into the computer room and look at a picture, wouldn't give him a clue.  At the door way he said "Oh, man!"  He called you a lucky mustard or something like that.   Very Happy
