Haven't you trained your customers to bring a joke along with their hunger when they come to your restaurant?

There's a few vendors I deal with regularly who probably wouldn't sell me anything if I didn't come to their store with a joke!

I posted the following on another thread but thought you all might enjoy it here, too.

So... I'm a sfg certified teacher... but...

I'm mostly a flower gardener. It works wonderfully in an sfg. Little landscapes spots throughout the yard. But I'm really, really going to try veggies this year. Now, you have to understand that not only haven't I grown many vegetables (my DH does that) I also don't "do kitchens" as he does most all of the cooking (and shopping). Well, we had our neighborhood ladies brunch and seed exchange this morning. So I volunteered to take a fruit bowl. I went to the local grocery store to by the items I needed. One item was mangos. So I took two of them over to the produce guy and asked him how to tell if these mangos were ripe. He said, "Well, first of all, those are avacados."
Actually, ROLLING ON THE FLOOR LAUGHING!.

Okay, with my husband's help, my fruit salad in a made-by-me syrup (without avacados) was just fine. He was so proud of me that he made me take a picture of the fruitbowl!

Bet all you fresh fruit and veggies guys can't top this!
