Trying to plant but there's snow!

Hi everyone!
Hubby made my new 4 x 8 box and we set it up on last Saturday.
I wanted to plant some seeds on Sunday but it was a bit too windy and cold.
I decided I would wait until tomorrow to plant some seeds in the gardens since they forcasted 50 degrees but lo and behold we got the nor'easter and got several inches of snow overnight and today!
I am hoping this is the end to the snow and it will melt and dry out tomorrow and then plant on Sunday. I am sure other people are having the same problems....trying to be very patient... Very Happy

Oh no that's too bad. I understand the frustration...my boxes are still hiding under a foot and a half of snow lol. Ah well hopefully it will melt soon and you'll be able to start planting Smile

Firefly,
Now I don't feel frustrated since the snow is gone and yesterday it was 60 degrees and today 50 degrees.
I feel bad that you still have a foot of snow - oh my!
I did open my boxes today and mixed them up a bit, did my grids and then planted super sugar snap peas, sugar snap peas and beets.
I think I will plant next weekend the carrots, spinach, turnip, and lettuce.

Look on the bright side

When we are suffering through triple-digit heat and with our plants basically shutting down, you will have really nice weather with extra hours of daylight. In Northern Wisconsin in July, you can hear the corn growing in cornfields.

In Middle Tennessee, inside the Metro area, you can hear the citizens' body fat rendering.

This mid atlantic weather is chilly for this time of year. Usually I have planted my peas and lettuce seeds in the garden by now, but I'm holding out. The 10- day forecast looks too cold to me.

Current NWS storm alert for here say10-16" of snow tomorrow. Getting a couple trees cleared and the beds built and filled by mid-April is starting to sound like it wlll be a sgnificant challenge.

Ok, it is snowing again tonight!
I truly need to plant some of my veg seeds since I will be away for 1 1/2 - 2 weeks.....maybe tomorrow afternoon.... :scratch:
