Website that shows sunlight on yard

Post  Kate888 on 3/11/2013, 8:00 pm

Someone posted last year about a website or downloaded software that could show where the sunlight would be in someone's yard throughout the year. I've looked but couldn't find the post I saw it in. Does anyone have a link to that? I didn't need it as my garden isn't near structures or trees, but my mom just moved and has lots of shade and is trying to plan her garden.

Thanks!

thanks! It looks very cool and I can see my mom's house on it (although the picture was taken during the construction of her neighborhood and the houses on the south side of the street weren't built yet. :-) I can sort of understand how it shows the sun's movement, but I'm not sure how to translate that into where the shade will be.
