Mel's Mix At Home Depot

Post  RoOsTeR on 3/27/2013, 9:37 am

This is a direct message from Mel---

So right now, as of this date, you can order Mel’s Mix from Home Depot anywhere in the continental USA and have it shipped to your house. Yes, at first the shipping seems expensive; however, if you consider a typical trip to the store might go something like this: Get everyone organized to go, then fight traffic, try and find a close parking spot by driving around aisle by aisle, finally park, go inside to search, find , then go get a cart, load up, stand in line to pay, search the parking lot for where you left the car, find a dent in your car door, load into car, tear and spill one bag all over your nice new van, fill up on gas, decide to stop for lunch, go home, unload, collapse, etc etc.
Instead of all that hassle. You can now have it delivered TO YOUR DOOR in just a few days. The initial cost per bag is quite reasonable: $7.95 for 1.5 cubic feet and shipping per bag goes down as you order more to the same address. The only fly in the ointment, as the saying goes, is if you want to order it online and pick it up at the store, THAT they are not prepared to do yet at all stores in the country
SO NOW is the time you can help our SFG Foundation by calling all the local HD stores in your county, ask for the garden shop manager and give them the code #s below and ask if they will get the SFG Potting Soil Mix into their store. Then call this tel # and ask how much the shipping would be to your address for the number of bags you want. Remember, the shipping cost goes down dramatically. From about $5 a bag for just a few, then down to just $1 per bag for 50 bags, 50 bags is just the right amount for three 4’x12’ garden boxes. That’s just a small family garden!
Of course shipping costs depend on where you live so call just to see what it will be.
Grow-well has worked so hard on getting our product into both Lowe’s and HD, this is an opportunity we can’t just ignore.
Square Foot Gardening Potting Soil Mix.
$8.97 for a 1.5 cu. ft. bag and it’s named Square Foot Gardening Potting Soil Mix.
Model # NW 11760
Internet # 203272590
HD Store SKU # 375404

If you have questions, concerns or problems ordering the mix from Home Depot, please contact the foundation directly.

Home Depot Shipping Charges For Mel's Mix

Post  RoOsTeR on 3/31/2013, 11:23 am

UPDATE!
New information directly from Mel on Home Depot shipping charges:

It has taken a lot of effort and time these last 3 days BUT,
HD has agreed to reduce the maximum shipping charge when you order any number of bags over 5 from their internet for home delivery to just $55. That will be the TOTAL SHIPPING CHARGE for 6 or 10 bags or 50 bags, or 100 bags. Hard to believe but we need to move quickly to let everyone know of this fantastic offer. Please work FAST to get this offer out to anyone and everyone you can think of.

If you have questions, concerns or problems ordering the mix from Home Depot, please contact the foundation directly.
