Can you re-use starter soil for seedlings?

Post  NHGardener on Thu Mar 28, 2013 2:34 pm

I have some seedlings that will be going into the garden soon, and other seeds that need to be planted. Can I use the transplanted seedlings' starter mix to start the new seedlings, or do I need to buy more starter mix?

(This is for starting seeds indoors)

Pretty much everything is recyclable. you may want to water it with some liquid plant food.
UNLESS you had losses from mold... then I would throw it in the compost pile.

No mold issues with the starter mix that I can tell. But I don't think I would hang onto it for next year, I'll probably use it for something this year after the seedlings are done, even if just add to the SFG.

Wouldn't you say?
