Big Howdy-do from Texas!

Happy Easter y'all! I live in a great city called Frisco, just 30 minutes north of Dallas, TX. I just accidentally stumbled on this fantastic site this morning and WOW! Loving it! I've always had a few containers of tomatoes or jalapenos, but this year I'm trying the kiddie pool raised bed. I know I'll learn lots on here!

My neighbor had left over squash seedlings last year and no more room in her 2 tabletops. She filled a kiddie pool with MM and shared squash with me as mine was a bust.

Hi Y'all!
I am from the northwest edge of San Antonio, bordering the Hill Country. As you know from watching the news, our weather is entirely different from Dallas, even though we are in the same state. Crazy! Gotta love the variety of our beloved Texas! I'm sure your native soil is 100% better than the yelllowish, brick-like native caliche we deal with here. But, Square Foot Gardening is a good way to work around our landscape limitations.
Check out Plantanswers.com from Dr. Jerry Parsons, mostly, a Texas A&M guy. Most of the advice is geared toward zone 8b gardening, central Texas between Austin and San Antonio, but there is a lot of good gardening advice there.
