Great theme! Pretty all in blue, Rooster!

Most of my seedlings are planted out already, but here's an older photo of, well, everything:

This is my poor Lilly, after her sunny window spot was taken up by seedlings, asleep with her head in the tomato pot:

After planting out, this is my cart of leftover onions, pak choi, broccoli, kale, collards, lettuce and swiss chard. I have no idea what to do with them. No one else around here will dare to start their gardens until Memorial day and but I can't bring myself to put them in the compost pile so they will probably be planted out amongst the perennial gardens:

This is all I have left in the window - peppers, tomatillos & spinach on left, then 7 different types of tomatoes, then lettuce and herbs on the right:

I'm supposed to start cucumbers on (checking the calendar)... yesterday. Better hop to it. bounce

I am past planting seedlings, but here are some that are already outside.

Here is my pepper that had blooms in the house, but it was too small(3 in.) so I did not try to hand pollinate.

So far nothing to show that's germinated despite sowing a few seeds early last week in a heated propagation bed under UV lights . I can only get the bed in the old office up to temp up to 63 o F .
The green house propagation bed is slightly warmer at 70 oF but the air temp is struggling to touch 45 o F despite an oil heater being used 24 /7 to keep it a few degrees above freezing

With the easterly winds continuing blowing in from Siberia it's cold enough for an Eskimo to be wearing his seal skins and thermals right now . It's forecast to be like this till the end of April . The forecasters reckon that the snow laying around some areas of high ground near here will stay till mid April when hopefully the jet stream gets pushed North by 500 or more miles & the sun takes his hat off for summer to think of getting started . Most of Northern Europe seems to have been similarly affected , for nearly five months it's been a big long freeze all over the northern european continent , Scandinavia & Russia.

I doubt I'll be starting off any new seeds till at least 15 April as it looks like even May will be quite cool & frosty , it looks like the last frost date will be set back till early June instead of 21 May for the UK in general .

No pictures of seedling pride going on here -- yet. Don't think I fully appreciated the learning curve with starting seedlings. Maybe I won the black thumb seedling award. Maybe should have read a book on it first. Disappointed and nerve wracking is not much fun. I will be thoroughly annoyed if I end up having to buy a bunch of transplants this year on top of the start up expense for seedling equiptment.. Thought everything I read would be more than enough for success. I do have potentially 2 more months of growing seeds and learning so we'll see. Shocked I'm certainly much better at growing a herd of compost worms!

I don't know how to send pictures yet but my son talked me through sending him a picture from my ipad. If someone would tell me how I think I could do it. Anyway all my seedlings are doing well except the Pimento's ( only 1 has come up). My broccoli and kale are up and will start harding them this week when it gets warmer. According to the book this weekend I should plant these outside (I use mothers day as the last frost day) along with planting snow peas.

No room in this old house to start seeds, but I am having some ideas for next year Smile

I did direct sow in my SFG a few weeks ago, so I will just have to offer that instead.

Have some flower seeds poking out of the cells and under the lights.

My avatar is some transplanted lettuce mix out under the low tunnel. There are little plants everywhere.

bnoles, I love your PVC grids; are they just grids, or do you use 'em for watering, too?

left: nicotiana
top: tomatoes/peppers/eggplants
right: oregano, parsley, borage
bottom: moss rose
center: sage and mint.
Have another flat of impatiens in the house, I dont think they can take the bright sunshine. Also a small container of chives and begonias in the house. Got the rest of my seed order today and will be planting leeks, shallots, and yarrow. Spring fever is here!
