Rooster -

Maybe it would be helpful to tell forum members if they start a thread in the Non-SFG area they should start the topic for example with: NON-SFG + name of topic.

It may eliminate confusion as people scroll through the Latest Topics on the left. Could be especially helpful for new members. Even though the non sfg topic is already listed in blue, I hardly look up top and to the right as it is currently arranged.

Thanks

Yes, this is an ongoing problem and one of Mel's biggest concerns on the forum. I havea couple of ideas on the matter but if others have input, or ideas, please shoot me a pm. I would really hate for the forum to be shut down because of misguided information that complicates Mel's methods, and confuses new gardeners. Which I hate to say, has been discussed.

That's pretty funny, Rooster, since the couple of PM's I've tried to send you in the past end up with this:

Seriously? Ugh! My apologies. I will have to see what is up with the settings. I have just had another complaint of someone not being able to either. If this is the case, emails are always an option as well. I will have to see what is up with my pm's. I have had several issues in the past with pm's just sitting in my outbox and never going out as well. ...

My options were to post here or email you Rooster. I have several messages still in my outbox from Jan through March. Thought it meant all those people didn't want to read my messages. Rolling Eyes Sadly that still might be true lol!

Great info here glad I stopped in. RoOsTeR can you change the name on an existing thread? For example the "back to Eden" thread I started to ask a question that has took off to 9 pages last count; with the NONSFQ header.

One possible idea is to require a post minimum to have access to the non sfg forum. Like the foodbank forum...

The minimum post might be a good idea; 'cause by then most will have been exposed and gotten used to the posting etiquette required.

As the originator of that post( Back to Eden) please change the name; globally if it will let you. Most of the posters are old timers any way.

Camprn I saw the Flash player "failed" screen you posted did you get it fixed? I finally fixed mine ; it started when I up graded IE-9 to IE-10. It was a setting problem: Shockwave Flash Object was "disabled" in the Tools>Manage add ons menu.

Pepper this thread has been in the Non SFG section for just about forever. I am not sure what you are talking about the flash player. where?

This is the first that I've been able to get in to the SFG forum in 2 days. The log in with Facebook is not working. I had to create a new log in in order to access finally.

Can you please check and see what's happening?

I'm Audrey.Jeanne.Roberts via Facebook, just Audrey.Jeanne with this login.

I've been having withdrawal symptoms Laughing

I can't find anything wrong or out of order with Facebook log in. Did you try clearing the forum cookies, and perhaps your browser cache?

I know, I've missed something! I have no idea what happened, but, I guess I'll just put my 2 cents in and maybe I won't choke on it.

I vote for the 'category' ex: Lower South, or Non-SFG to be included on the left, above/with the current post. When you click on the post to view it, it does not take you to the top of page, so you can see what forum you are in. I have made posts, then after you hit send, then I realize that I probably should not have posted in that thread, it might keep 'me' from posting in, for ex: the pnw or New England. I really have no knowledge of other areas of the country.

On another note: Is there a place on this forum to complain or is a pm or calling it quits the only way?

I don't understand this statement?

This forum is for troubleshooting problems. If you have a complaint, you can pm me.

I cleared my cache and restarted FireFox, that didn't work so I tried logging in via Google Chrome, ditto.

I'm going to reboot my computer and see if that helps. It's been a week or so since I closed it out.

On the page that this thread is on, that I am seeing, it does not tell where this thread is: performance issues. It just says 'Square Foot Gardening'
