Just for your info.

This is typical of a number of the sub forums and is currently limited by the forum software. You may easily navigate through the main page.

I vote for the 'category' ex: Lower South, or Non-SFG to be included on the left, above/with the current post. When you click on the post to view it, it does not take you to the top of page, so you can see what forum you are in. I have made posts, then after you hit send, then I realize that I probably should not have posted in that thread, it might keep 'me' from posting in, for ex: the pnw or New England. I really have no knowledge of other areas of the country.

On another note: Is there a place on this forum to complain or is a pm or calling it quits the only way?
Jo Ann
This is again due to the limits of the software functions. Since you are aware of the way this works, when opening a thread, simply scroll to the top of the page to get your bearings. It is a good thing for the writer to be mindful of the subforum they are working in. For example if the writer is in the 'compost' area is actually writing about 'vermiculite'. The moderators do their best to keep things orderly, and move things if necessary, but the author of a new thread needs to be mindful where they are posting. It may take a little while for new members to understand the layout of the forum, but you seem to understand how it is currently working.
All navigation is relatively easy through the main page.

Ok back to the topic as first split out. Do we start labeling new post or not?????? Or was that just discussion for now?

It was my suggestion to label appropriate posts as NON SFG, but it has not been decided Yet as standard practice.

No, because there is no way that everyone is going to be doing that, especially the new members. Please folks, just pay attention to the Topic, try to stay on topic within a thread and make a note of where (subforum) it is located, (that information is found at the top of the screen).

Like I said, if you have ideas, please pm me. I have a few ideas and a couple of suggestions. For now continue on. Decisions will be made on how to possibly "alleviate" some of the problems. Honestly, there probably is not going to be any simple or fix all solution.
