Mel's Mix $9

Post  AZDYJ2K on 4/3/2013, 1:43 am

I saw MM for just under $9 per bag at HD over the weekend. I think it usually guess for $12. This was in Chandler. If you are just starting out this us a good way to go.

Update: looks like this is for 1.5 CF. I think the bags I bought at $12 were for 2cf.

Just a heads up.  Sent someone to my local HD for Mel's mix.  The were told they were sold out and were discontinuing carrying it.  Anyone else hear this?

I would encourage you to contact the SFG Foundation marketing person directly.

Could it be a seasonal stocking issue? I know your seasons are different, but around here the gardening shelves get cleared out to make room for Christmas stuff.

That thought came to mind also after I posted.  Maybe "discontinued" means just for the season.  Another HD near me had a whole pallet of the stuff, so have to wait and see next spring I guess.

I purchased mel-mix at my local Home Depot this spring. I used it to replace all the soil in my two raised beds.
