compost

Post  grumpy on 4/7/2013, 10:40 pm

I purchased a compost rotating bin a couple of yrs. ago. Well then had to have
major lower back fusion and the contents of my composter have become like a solid slab of concrete. I would greatly accept any ideas on how to remove this gunk from my unit. Or anything i can add to use it and complete the cycle.

thanks Grumpy : thinking

Maybe soaking it in water might loosen the clump up where you can pick it apart.
Otherwise I would get a hammer and long pointed tool and chip, being careful not to hit the barrel.
My tumbler had a lump this winter, it was when everything froze, it stuck to the wall so I wasn't able to tumble .
I went inside by the fireplace and waited for it to warm up...
