Asian Multicolored Lady Bird / Lady Beetle -- good or bad?

Post  jjlonsdale on 4/9/2013, 8:35 pm

I have SO MANY of these little guys in my garden (which at the moment is almost all seedlings).

Right now they are all larvae. I'm new so I can't post an external link, but you can do a google image search for "asian multicolored lady bird larvae" and it pops right up.

Apparently when they are grown up they'll look pretty much like "ordinary" lady bugs.

I have read they eat aphids, which makes me very happy because I have plenty of those too!

Does anyone else have experience with them, and are they for sure good guys?

Check out the stickies in the PESTS forum to do some research. There are a lot of great links there.

Here is a link to just one of the stickies.
