What is this?

This morning when I went to put the plants outside, one of the flats (the last ones to be transplanted) had a white film over the soil in a few of the cells. It doesn't really look like mold, but I don't know what it is. I'm going to flush that flat with some hydrogen peroxide and water, just in case. It worked great last time I did it. Anyway. Here are a few pictures.

Any ideas? Thanks bunches! You guys rock!

I'd be more concerned with that white mold if the seedlings were just beginning to sprout(damping off), but your plants seem to be well past that stage. You might try watering less(or watering from the bottom) and placing them in sunny conditions. Whenever you have organic matter(compost), you'll get mold. It's not necessarily bad.

We sometimes get similar fungal growth to that in the UK when using no peat/reduced peat multi purpose compost........

That ^^ was a stick I took from a new bag when setting my tomato seeds this year.
Some packers add a notice on the rear of the bag .....................

I just looked & although not as dense as the growth on yours,I have some mold on the soil surface in some of my pots ....

That plant has good looking leaves with no sign of discoloring ...

And is growing strongly,currently in a 5" pot ....

Hopefully yours also will grow strongly with no ill effects from the surface mold.

In bags of compost that I bought down here I saw the same thing so I had assumed that it was part and parcel with the composting process. I had never given it a thought. I see it when turning the compost to so it seem natural to me. But what do I know, right. I have not noticed any ill effects in the plants yet, so will let it be.
