Fantastic Free Book on Composting

Post  llama momma on 4/10/2013, 2:01 pm

Do you want to be a composting monster Right Now?
boogie woogie

I found this yesterday. It is a free 116 page book, written at the high school level. No kindle is necessary. I am betting the farm you will learn plenty. Just click and enjoy.

Say Bob we have the same temperature and you're about 6 hundred miles south of here, 82 degrees!

will try and read this. It just makes sense for us to compost. We recycle everything here in this house! And I"d rather make my own compost than continue to buy $7 bags of compost each year. I probably buy $200 of potting soil, peat and compost, along with $15 dollar bags of vermiculite now, every year. I recently bought some gardening books that told the truth and said that "saving money on vegetable costs" was NOT a reasonable expectation when choosing gardening as a hobby. Every little bit helps. Maybe I will get a stacking composter too.

hillcountry hick--
If you exclusively follow Mel's directions in his book, I can tell you from my experience that you too will make Fantastic Compost! Mel did a fabulous job of simplifying the process. He gave me the confidence to try it out myself. I was able to make free compost with very satisfying results.

I mentioned this other book for those who want more background and lots of crazy details, ok?
Very Happy

Enjoy the beach! Nothing like the good smell of salt air. I lived near water the first 20 something years of my life. Good times and good memories.
